What will you give up!
28 days, 28 Friends & Family, Raise £28 (or more)
Tom’s birthday is on the 28th February and he would have been 29 years of age. To mark this we have launched a brand new 28 day challenge.
As February is also the month of LOVE, we are asking you to ” Have a Heart” and give up something you love. Whether you choose to chop the chocolate, bin the gin, cut the caffeine or pause the play station the choice is yours.
Say goodbye to the thing you love, all whilst raising much needed funds for teenagers and young adults facing cancer through the cost of living crisis.
Encourage your family, friends or work colleagues to take part or ask them to sponsor you. Raise £28 (or more) over 28 days and get 28 people on board.
Either donate £1 a day or the amount you would spend on what you are giving up or ask family and friends to sponsor you.
Your £28 (or more) could go towards helping more young people like Sarah to purchase a wig that would be like her own hair.

How to maximise your fundraising
- Set a target on your online giving page so people can see how much you are raising and help you achieve your target.
- Ask people to add Gift Aid by mentioning the benefits of doing so on your page description. If they’re a UK tax-payer, this will increase their donation by 25% at no extra cost
- Ask your employer if they offer ‘Matched Giving’. It’s an easy way to double your fundraising if your employer will agree to match the amount you raise
- And finally, tell people about it. Don’t be afraid to tell everyone you know about your fundraising. Add your story and photos to your online giving page, then share on your social media channels!
