A recent survey of 1,100 people from the UK, reported that most consumers think businesses should support charities. When faced with a choice between two companies that offered products and services for the same price, 82% said their decision would be affected by whether a company engaged with charities and its local community.
At the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation we believe the relationship between the charity and the corporate partnership is very important. A perfect partnership will bring funding, support and increased visibility for the charity and for the sponsor it will bring brand building, good PR and the chance to ‘make a difference’ to the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer.
Is your company, organisation or workplace looking for a charity to support? If so there are many ways you can help make a difference – here are just a few…..
- Choose us as Charity of the Year

The RSA Insurance group is a multinational general insurance company headquartered in London. The Chelmsford branch voted for the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation to be their chosen charity for the year. We are thoroughly looking forward to working with them.
“RSA are thrilled to be in partnership with the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation. Toms Foundation was nominated by staff and ultimately won the popular vote by quite a margin. Our office is in Chelmsford with staff from across Essex including Colchester. There are staff who knew Tom and his family personally, have children who knew Tom or have been directly affected by Teenage Cancer. Our aim is to support the foundation, promote awareness and raise as much money as possible this year! The BIG fundraiser RSA are holding this year will be the Marathon Walk ‘Chelmsford to the Sea’ which starts at our Chelmsford Office and ends on Southend Pier the walk is approximately 26 miles and with over 20 staff attempting the walk we hope to get as much sponsorship as possible!”
The pupils from Tollemache House at Thomas Gainsborough School in Sudbury chose the Foundation as their charity for the academic year 2017-18. Their fundraisers so far have included a Halloween Dress up day, 2 day Christmas Fayre, Smartie challenge with more events to come.
