Synonymous, a sports marketing agency that supports brands to exceed their marketing objectives
through acquiring targeted sponsorships in sport, hosted a spectacular evening of entertainment
with Harry Redknapp that raised over £12,353.55 for charity.

Synonymous, a sports marketing agency that supports brands to exceed their marketing objectives
through acquiring targeted sponsorships in sport, successfully hosted its second event at Braxted
Park Estate this November.
They were welcoming guests to enjoy an evening with Harry Redknapp and the host for the night,
Ronnie Irani. The event was organised in support of the Essex-based charity, The Tom Bowdidge
Youth Cancer Foundation, and was made possible thanks to private practice manager software
provider MidexPRO.
The Walled Garden Pavillion at Braxted Park Estate was filled with over 360 guests from across Essex
and London, many of whom have attended previous Synonymous events. Guests gathered to enjoy a
three-course meal with a surprise sweet treat to finish, created in honour of the special guest with a
well-known affection for Jam Roly-Poly. VIP guests enjoyed a special drinks reception in the stunning
main house Orangery, with Harry and Ronnie joining to mingle with guests and have their pictures
taken.
The main event saw Harry Redknapp recount stories from an illustrious career in football, while good
friend Ronnie Irani kept the conversation flowing with probing questions collected from the
audience. There was a great atmosphere in the room as Harry gripped the crowd and filled the room
with laughter.
The entertainment was paired with several fundraising initiatives on the night, including a raffle, live
auction, and silent auction, all of which got guests out of their seats. The incredible generosity of
guests on the night raised £11,853.55 for the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation, supporting
Essex families facing the significant costs that cancer brings. A further £600 was raised for Prostate
Cancer UK.
The night was made more special for the charity as Harry Redknapp acts as Patron of the foundation.
The CEO of The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation, Nikki Bowdidge, stated, “It was a truly
special evening as we saw our Patron light up the marquee and share such a strong show of support
for the work we do. We are very grateful to the team at Synonymous and everyone that took part in
the ‘Evening with Harry Redknapp’ for the incredible fundraising effort.” The Father of Tom and
Chairman of the foundation echoed his support, stating, “I may have lost my voice on the evening
rallying support for the raffle and all the fundraising on the night, but I was still able to soak up the
atmosphere and share our story on stage in a special moment thanks to our Patron, Harry. Thank
you to everyone for showing your support.”

Darrell Fox, Founder of Synonymous, shared his thoughts on the night, saying, “It was such an
honour to bring such a big name to Essex. Our mission is to host top-quality sporting events
predominantly in Essex, while also raising funds for exceptional local causes.

Harry entertained the crowd and helped drive the fundraising efforts on the night. Having heard
Tom passionately speak before about his determination to reduce the strain on teenagers going
through cancer treatment, he inspired me to be an active supporter of the charity. It is a real
privilege to be able to provide funds for the foundation. We are determined to continue our
fundraising efforts for local causes as we support the Lennox Children & Cancer Fund at our next
event, ‘An Evening of Boxing’ on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at Braxted Park Estate in Witham. We
still have tickets available for this event, which I hope will be another sell-out following on from our
‘An Evening of Boxing’ event at Braxted Park Estate earlier this year”.
The success on the night was made possible through the generous sponsorship from private practice
manager software provider MidexPRO, who were determined to do what they could to support The
Tom Bowdidge Foundation and Prostate Cancer UK. Their support was instrumental in raising
£12,353.55 and we take great pride in working together as a business that shows support for our
community.
